Need a boost of reading and writing inspiration to propel your class into 2027? Join Dr Helen Walls (The Writing Teacher) and Dr Christine Braid for a two-day immersive workshop that weaves together structured literacy, research-informed practice and teacher creativity to achieve the best outcomes for your students and your school.
Designed for Years 1-8 teachers, leaders and literacy specialists, this practical workshop will help you:
- reflect on the impacts of change
- learn about creative innovations to engage every learner
- use the best systematic approaches, while adding creativity and fun
- design purposeful reading and writing tasks and bring literature back into your room
Both days follow the same format: science-led sessions with Helen and Christine, paired with creative classroom activities guided by literacy specialists Caroline Morritt and Marina Mounsey.
Day 1: Reading - the day's focus is reading.
Day 2: Writing - the day's focus is writing.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided each day.
