Dr. Phill Simpson has been a primary school teacher, PLD facilitator and writer for over twenty years. He has had more than 100 children’s books published, both fiction and non-fiction, as well as numerous articles, short stories, novels and teaching resources for the education sectors in New Zealand, Australia and the rest of the world. Dr. Simpson holds a Doctorate in Education, where he explored how primary teachers' teach creative writing. In addition, he has a Masters (Hons) degree in creative writing as well as post-graduate qualifications in teaching (primary) and education and professional development. He teaches and writes in Auckland where he lives with his wife, son and two border terriers.
